‘Raid 2’ Box Office collection day 5: Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller inches closer to Rs 100 crore worldwide
Ajay Devgn’s latest film ‘Raid 2’ is proving to be a box office winner. The crime drama, also starring Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor, has shown a strong performance through its first weekend and continues to attract viewers even on weekdays. With Rs. 7.75 crore earned on its first Monday, the film is now close to reaching the Rs. 100 crore milestone globally as reported by Sacnilk.
‘Raid 2’ kicked off with a bang on May 1, 2025. The film opened to a powerful Rs. 19.25 crore net in India on Thursday, making it the third biggest opening of the year behind ‘Chhaava’ and ‘Sikandar’.
Over the weekend, the film continued to do well. It collected around Rs. 12 crore on Friday, Rs. 18 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 22 crore on Sunday. This brought the four-day weekend total in India to Rs. 71.25 crore net. It even left behind films like ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ and ‘Jaat’ in terms of ticket sales and footfalls.
A film’s true box office strength is tested on Monday – and ‘Raid 2’ passed with flying colours. As per early estimates reported by sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs. 7.75 crore net on its first Monday (May 5), bringing the five-day total in India to Rs. 79 crore net. The Hindi occupancy across cinemas stood at 15.10%, which is considered quite good for a Monday.
At the overseas box office, 'Raid 2' had a modest run, earning around Rs. 10 crore gross. This took its worldwide opening weekend total to about Rs. 95 crore. The film is now set to enter the Rs. 100 crore club globally and will become the sixth Bollywood film of the year to achieve this, as reported by Sacnilk.
